According to the decision of the Union Government, the Ministry of Planning and Finance issued Notification No. 27/2025 on 31st March 2025. This notification provided for the reduction of custom duties specified in the Myanmar Customs Tariff Schedule 2022 up to zero percent for battery electric vehicles (BEV) accessories and spare parts imported from abroad using the Completely Built Up – CBU system, Completely Knocked Down – CKD system and Semi-Knocked Down – SKD system.
