Notification No. 25/2018 (Permitting the JV for Whole Sale and Retail)
Foreign companies, foreign joint venture companies are allowed for the whole sale and retail sale in Myanmar by the Ministry of Commerce. The objectives are to get more choice for the consumers by developing fair competition within the distributors, to improve the quality of goods, services and technologies, and to increase the small and medium enterprises by getting more market for the local product. All the companies have to comply with the issued regulations. The principle for the whole sale and retail sale may be changed according to the economic conditions.
