Quarantine Requirement for Animals, Animal Products and Animal Feed (Meat and Product)

Description This measure (Chapter 1, Article 7 (a) (b) and Chapter 2, Article 16 (b) (c)) provides for the requirement to detain or isolate animals or their products on arrival port or place for a given period in order to prevent the spread of infectious or contagious disease, or contamination. A person who imports the animals, animal products and animal feed shall carry the animals, animal products and animal feed through the certain track and detain at the designated place for a given period in order to do the inspection by the relevant agency. The objective is to prevent outbreak of contagious disease in animals and to control the outbreak systematically when it occurs.
